Art for Us was legally
established in 2018, but its board of directors has been working together in
Miami since 2005. At that time, Iliana Prieto, author, and Maria Amalia Lopez,
designer, joined Cristina Rebull, Cuban artist with a long professional career
as director, producer, author and performer in creating Art for Us. With over 35 years of
professional experience, they have worked in Cuba, Colombia, Paraguay, Puerto
Rico and U.S. with important educational and cultural institutions.
Through those years, Art for Us has been present in several concerts and plays, and has enhanced the participation of women in the arts as its main objective. In 2014 the With Certain Women/Con Ciertas Mujeres project was born under the Art for Us organization.
The project With
Certain Women/Con Ciertas Mujeres corresponds to the main purposes of Art for
Us, since it seeks to encourage the artistic appreciation of the community and
create a more sensitive and creative audience.
One of our objectives as an organization is to create spaces for women artists to make their creative talent known and this project is precisely about women and their role in society and in families. Our organization will work to stimulate new talents and this project will be enriched by the performances of conservatory students who will have the opportunity to work alongside established artists.

" It has been a pleasure to assist to the With Certain Women concerts throughout the years. They are very unique experiences of delicateness showing that when true talent is present, words are not needed. I hope that we could enjoy again very soon these lovely moments offered by Art for Us. "
"My experience with Art for Us was one of the
more unforgettable of my career. They have a high level of professionalism,
exceptional musicians, and great respect and dedication. I am very proud of
have been part of their mission to bring art to the community. It was a very
enriching experience for the public as well as for me."
When an artist is conscious of the
intensity inherent to a true connection with the public, she feels that her
work and effort are totally worthy. That happened to me at the last spectacle
of Art for Us, especially at the dramatized scene where I sang the Barcarole of
the Hoffmann Stories withe wonderful Cristina Rebull. It was unforgettable!"
